Early in 2006, Melodie was walking down Alberta Street at the Last Thursday arts event when she came across a hooping area. She picked up a hula hoop and has been sharing the hoop love ever since! Melodie began her hoop practice under the guidance of HoopShine Founder, Candice Schutter. She has taken beginning and intermediate HoopShine classes and has also been a student of the HoopPath with Jonathon Baxter. Recently, she's expanded into the realm of fire hooping where she keeps her audience mesmerized. When you see Melodie hoop, you can't help but smile. Her style has been described as playful, welcoming, energetic and joyful. Through her hooping, she hopes to connect with people in a positive way.
